This is a cheeky Christmas one-way run, returning to the pub by public transport. Bring a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free and a topped-up Oyster Card, unless you want to run or walk back or stay in prison.

All or part of the trail will be laid in materials other than chalk or flour. If you miss the start of the run, look for more detailed instructions, or you may lose the trail.

He no longer needs to masquerade as St Nicholas. This is the newly-canonised Pope’s first official Christmas Prezzie Run. Bring something costing about £5 for Santa’s Sack, and get something in return that is equally useless.

This is the 860th anniversary of the election of Adrian IV as pope. The first and, allegedly, the only English pope, Nicholas Brakespear was a member of the brewing family in Henley-on-Thames and a hasher.

Does that mean our Saint Pope is an imposter?  Or is he the Second Coming from a long line of papal hashers? Can he be trusted with our Christmas prezzies next week? To find the answers to these questions, or not, come to the run this week and next.

Hare: Not Contagious
